Heifers are joined at about 2 years of age to calve at 3 years.
Heifers that do not calve as a 3 year old are given the chance to calve as a 4 year old, but after that there are no more chances. Adult cows must calve every year. We believe that cows should exhibit femininity while possessing volume with a good frame and milking ability.
After replacement heifers are selected the remaining weaners are sold privately, at auction or fattened for slaughter.
